Paint Or Seek seeker guide

Seeking is pattern reading. Slow down, clear the edges, and look for color or shape that does not belong to the room.

Clear from edges inward

Start with room edges, wall seams, prop borders, and corners. Sprinting through the center lets hiders stay still until you leave.

Look for avatar-sized mismatches

Painted hiders usually fail by being slightly brighter, darker, smoother, or more player-shaped than the surface around them.

Use pressure after a catch

Converted teammates let you cover exits while another seeker checks spots. Do not all chase the same moving target.

Treat tools as helpers, not autopilot

+Speed, flashlight, or weapon-style passes can help, but room knowledge and disciplined sweeps are still the main skill.

Best seeker rule

Clear from the outside in: wall seams, floor edges, props, frames, and avatar-sized color changes. Fast random movement misses still hiders.

After the first catch

Caught hiders join your side. Use that pressure: one seeker covers exits while another checks walls and props, instead of everyone chasing the same path.
